Alyssa grew up in Columbia, Missouri, as the oldest of four siblings. Her fascination with the human body and love for staying active through various sports began at an early age. Her passion for physical therapy was ignited when she watched her youngest brother receive treatment as an infant. Witnessing how the treatment completely transformed his function and ability to participate with his peers, sparked a dedication in her that has only grown stronger over the years.

Alyssa graduated with her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Truman State University. She then continued her education, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University. She discovered her passion for pelvic floor physical therapy in PT school and received foundational training through Herman and Wallace prior to graduation. In addition to this training, Alyssa has completed her Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification from Core Exercise Solutions.

Alyssa is deeply passionate about addressing all forms of pelvic health dysfunction and is dedicated to educating and empowering her patients through a holistic approach to care. By focusing on individualized treatment plans, she helps her patients regain the freedom to enjoy the activities they love with confidence.

Outside of the clinic, Alyssa enjoys weightlifting, walking her pups, curling up with a good book, and traveling with her husband, Braden.
